Quasi-particle model of strongly interacting matter
The successful quasi-particle model is compared with recent lattice data of the coefficients in the Taylor series expansion of the excess pressure at finite temperature and baryon density. A chain of approximations, starting from QCD to arrive at the model expressions for the entropy density, is presented.
متن کاملApproximating the dynamical evolution of systems of strongly-interacting overdamped particles
We describe collective-move Monte Carlo algorithms designed to approximate the overdamped dynamics of self-assembling nanoscale components equipped with strong, short-ranged and anisotropic interactions. Conventional Monte Carlo simulations comprise sequential moves of single particles, proposed and accepted so as to satisfy detailed balance. Under certain circumstances such simulations provide...
متن کاملDynamical properties of strongly interacting Markov chains
Spatial interdependences of multiple stochastic units can be suitably quantified by the Kullback-Leibler divergence of the joint probability distribution from the corresponding factorized distribution. In the present paper, a generalized measure for stochastic interaction, which also captures temporal interdependences, is analysed within the setting of Markov chains. The dynamical properties of...
متن کاملOff-shell effects in dilepton production from hot interacting mesons
The production of dielectrons in reactions involving a1 mesons and pions is studied. We compare results obtained with different phenomenological Lagrangians that have been used in connection with hadronic matter and finite nuclei. We insist on the necessity for those interactions to satisfy known empirical properties of the strong interaction. Large off-shell effects in dielectron production ar...
